dantheman: I hear you on the tendency to comment on things that they don't truly know ... usually they make it clear that they are guessing, but that's not going to stop people without the time to follow-up from considering it to be accurate until they hear otherwise.
Btw - I think the France allied with Germany comment you mention was made in sarcastic response to a previous statement. Something like "I think Apple & Microsoft will ally to make a new OS" and he says "Yeah, just like France was allied with Germany in WWII". I could be wrong on that, I'd love to know wich episode it was from so I could verify. <grin>

Man, that sounds really nice. I wish I took the time more often to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the world around me. Too often, I am running around on some errand or working late to finish an overdue task. It is good to be reminded that the simplest pleasures in life are often there for the taking, if we just reach out for them.

I'm not sure either - but I think the wiki mentions the history behind the different names. Have you had a chance to check out that wiki page I referenced? It is very cool, IMHO. They talk about how to install a custom firmware that gives a much better UI, and how to do more advanced things like ftp to the box and mess around with the kernel. I haven't messed around with that end of things yet (I just transfer movies via USB), but I look forward to trying. :)
Also, I found this message board has a huge thread on the unit - its a great place to search for answers to questions since it has three or so years of history all contained in one rediculously-long thread. (119 pages of 20-30 posts per page). :)
What I do is download the entire thread using the thread tools menu - and then search the saved file using my favourite text editor.
Here's the link for that thread:
